Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some local stand-up comedy, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events going down in Los Angeles this week (October 13 through October 19).

Tuesday, October 14

Lorna Shore @ Hollywood Palladium (6215 Sunset Blvd)

Doors: 5 p.m. (tickets)

New Jersey deathcore Lorna Shore will have their biggest Los Angeles headlining show to date with their appearance at Hollywood Palladium. The band are on the road in support of their new studio album I Feel the Everblack Festering Within Me, which topped the Rock & Metal Albums charts in Germany and the U.K. The Black Dahlia Murder, Shadow of Intent, and Peeling Flesh will be the opening acts.

Pinback, Hasco Enjoyments @ Fonda Theatre (6126 Hollywood Boulevard)

Doors: 8 p.m. (tickets)

San Diego indie rock band Pinback will begin their West Coast tour at the Fonda Theatre. Instrumental act Hasco Enjoyments will kick off the evening.

Wednesday October 15

Hellbent For Laughter presents Haha Emeritus @ Knucklehead Hollywood (6202 Santa Monica Blvd)

Doors: 9 p.m. (free) 21+

Co-hosted by comedians Jake Bassi and Andrew Fahey, Hellbent For Laughter combines the love of comedy and metal in Hollywood. This week's show will feature comedy sets from Ray Gootz, Dave PPL, Katherine Yoon, Dane Anthony, and Barry Montoya. Stay for metal karaoke after the show! The 21+ event is free to the public. Oops! All Bards! An Improvised Musical RPG @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Avenue)

Doors: 9:45 p.m. (tickets)

Improvised musical D&D one-shot Oops! All Bards! will deliver a magical tale where audience participation creates the story. The main cast for the show features Gabe Greenspan, Greg Smith, Sean Meagher, and Mary Lou. Special guests for Thursday's show are Siobhan Thompson and Oscar Montoya. The lineup is subject to change. Friday, October 17

Steel Beans @ Moroccan Lounge (901 1st St)

Doors: 6:30 p.m. (tickets) 21+

One-man band Steel Beans will headline the Moroccan Lounge in Little Tokyo towards the end of their California trek. The artist will be promoting their new self-titled album, which features Queens of the Stone Age multi-instrumentalist Troy Van Leeuwen. Steel Beans has been wowing crowds around the world with tours alongside Tenacious D and Tool.

Horror Nerd @ Hollywood Improv (8162 Melrose Ave)

Door: 7:30 p.m. (tickets) 21+

Hosted by Samantha Hale, Horror Nerd brings a slew of comedians together to dive into the world of horror. The theme for this show is My Horror Crush, and the lineup for this show features Dana Gould, Kayla Hardy, Kandice Martellaro, Eric Owusu, Tommy Spears, Lish DeVillier, Angela Dirksen, Natalia Reagan, Becca Melkonian, Scott Blugrind, and Jeremy Tinoco. The lineup is subject to change.

Saturday, October 18

Judge, Integrity @ 1720 (1720 E 16th St)

Judge, Integrity, and Earth Crisis are bringing their massive tour to Los Angeles' 1720 for some old school hardcore on a Saturday night. Beyond Repair and Witness Chamber will be the opening acts.

Elliott @ The Glass House (200 W 2nd St)

Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Beloved emo band Elliott return to The Glass House after 25 years for their current West Coast trek. Gayt will be the opening band.
