Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some local stand-up comedy, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events going down in Los Angeles this week (November 3 through November 9).

Tuesday, November 4

Nep, Abby Powledge @ The Echo (1822 W Sunset Blvd.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Rising pop artist Nep will be headlining The Echo in support of her debut album Noelle. Abby Powledge will be the opening act. Our recent interview with Nep can be read here.

Thursday, November 6

Mega64: Thanksgiving Extravaganza @ Teragram Ballroom (1234 W 7th St.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Mega64 is celebrating Thanksgiving early at Teragram Ballroom this Thursday. The night is set to feature some beloved Mega64 videos as well as Q&A from the audience. This is the second part of a trilogy of Mega64 shows at Teragram Ballroom.

The Stoked Show @ The Clubhouse (1607 N Vermont Ave.)
Doors: 9:15 p.m.

Improv team Stoked will host a night of improv at The Clubhouse with performances from improv teams Sea Hag, Nepo Mommy, and Legal Husband. The show is free to the public, but donations will be appreciated.

Friday, November 7

Charlotte de Witte @ Grand Park Block 2 (200 North Grand Ave.)
Doors: 5 p.m. (tickets) 21+

If you couldn’t get tickets to Charlotte de Witte’s sold-out set at 6th St. Bridge on Thursday, there are still some tickets left for their gig at Grand Park Block 2 this Friday. The techno producer will be supporting her self-titled debut album, which comes out on Friday via KNTXT.

Mindblower @ The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)
Doors: 8:50 p.m. (tickets)

Hosted by Andrew Mena, Mindblower is a variety show featuring a plethora of wild characters and hijinks. Friday's show will feature Jasper Lewis, Woody Fu, Dan Sonenberg, Rebecca Del Sesto, Lisa Honeybee, Luce Tomlin-Brenner, Brennan Lee, Sarah Lento, Andrew Parker Scott, Christian B. Schmidt, and bandleader Joseph Dailey. The lineup is subject to change.

Rat City Limits @ The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)
Doors: 9:50 p.m. (tickets)

Rat City Limits will bring all of the rats to The Pack Theater as Rat City, Rat King, and Rat Milk will join forces. Headlining improv group Rat City will do improv based on trash thrown on stage by the audience, so be sure to have those crumbled receipts ready.

Saturday, November 8

Forever Wildland: A Hardcore Benefit Show @ Scribble (5541 York Blvd.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Forever Wildland will bring SoCal hardcore bands Sweat, Monk, and Romper together to help raise money for Grassroots Wildland Firefighters, which is a nonprofit devoted to improving mental health care, pay, and housing for the wildland firefighting community. 7 Minutes In Heaven @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Ave.)
Doors: 10:15 p.m. (tickets)

7 Minutes In Heaven will bring seven improv duos together to perform seven scenes. Hosted by Canadian Comedy Award winners Inessa Frantowski, Adam Cawley, and Jason DeRosse, the show has seen performers such as Emmy-nominated comedian Nicole Byer and former SNL featured cast member Lauren Holt. The lineup for the show will be announced soon.

Riff Raff with Billy Myers III @ The Comedy Store (Belly Room) (8433 Sunset Blvd.)
Doors: 11:15 p.m. (tickets) 21+

Riff Raff with Billy Myers III is the most unpredictable comedy show in Los Angeles. Comedians will bounce between diving into random topics on stage and engaging in wild challenges such as cutting a wrestling promo on stage and engaging in an arm wrestling contest. The lineup for this Saturday's show features Anthony Fuentes, Jay Light, Omid Singh, Dave Yates, and Kelly McInerney. The lineup is subject to change.

Sunday, November 9

Fast Nein: The Fast & The Fuhrer table read @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Ave.)

UCB Theatre will host a special table read of the Fast Nein: The Fast & The Fuhrer script written by Jordan Vandina. The cast for this table read includes Kumail Nanjiani, Steve Little, Eduardo Franco, Patty Guggenheim, Kiel Kennedy, Joe Lo Truglio, Josh Robert Thompson, Quinn Beswick, and Beck Bennett. The lineup is subject to change.

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
