Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some local stand-up comedy, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events happening in Los Angeles this week (March 2 through March 8).
Friday, March 6
Mindblower @ The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)

Hosted by Andrew Mena, Mindblower is a variety show featuring a plethora of wild characters and hijinks. Friday's show will feature special guests John Norris and Paul Heredia. The main cast for Mindblower features Zachary Coles, Dan Sonenberg, Grayson Niles, Cole Triplett, John Dardenne, and bandleader Joseph Dailey.
The Best Time With Nnamdi @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Ave.)

Nnamdi Ngwe will bring together a slew of their favorite improvisers to deliver one hilarious show at UCB Theatre. The improvisers will do sets based on great memories from the studio audience. Friday's show will feature Ryan Asher, Nina Concepción, Ruha Taslimi, Jeff Whitaker, Katie Marovitch, and Aman Adumer.
She's Got Non-Player Character Energy @ The Elysian (1944 Riverside Dr.)

Amy Vorpahl's one-person D&D musical comedy show She's Got Non-Player Character Energy will take over The Elysian on Friday. The show is directed by Laser Webber with Maxi Morales handling the music. Livestream tickets are also available.
Saturday, March 7
Improv Class Student Showcase @ The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)

This Saturday will be graduation night for the Pack Theater improv classes. Students from Rich Sohn, Sean Michael Boozer, and John Conroy's classes will deliver some clever improv, and members of various Pack Theater house teams will join forces for a special improv set.
Wildly Appropriate: An All-Ages Improv Show @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Ave.)

If you're looking for a more family-friendly improv show, UCB Theatre is the place to be for Wildly Appropriate: An All-Ages Improv Show. Co-hosted by seven-year-old Mae Tarica Fernie as well as Deborah Tarica and Alex Fernie, the show will allow kids from the audience to hop onto the stage to do improv. The cast of Saturday's show will feature Jess McKenna, Nnamdi Ngwe, Wayland McQueen, and Ele Woods.
Career-Defining, Life-Altering Industry Showcase @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Ave.)

Co-hosted by Austin Williams and Jack Brown, the Career-Defining, Life-Altering Industry Showcase will bring together a group of stand-up comics and character performers to see who has what it takes to be the next big thing in Hollywood. Saturday's lineup features Nick Ciarelli, Brad Evans, Monica Loomba, Andie Paradis, and Chase Hofer.
Affirmative ReAction Comedy @ The H.I.T. at The Broadwater Second Stage (6320 Santa Monica Blvd.)

Hosted by Mirage Thrams, Affirmative ReAction Comedy brings together all-black improv teams Idris's Elbas and The Regina Kings to The H.I.T. for a night of comedy gold. Branson P. NeJame will hold things down as the musical director.
Sunday, March 8
Clean Plate Fun @ Dynasty Typewriter (2511 Wilshire Blvd.)

Clean Plate Fun is one of the tastiest shows going down this weekend with its mixture of improv and live cooking. Bobby Moynihan will be joined by Ryan Asher, Angela Giarratana, Eugene Cordeo, Lily Sullivan, and Tim Baltz for some improv while Dinner Time Live's Chris Ying whips up some delicious food. Special Splash Zone tickets are available for the first two rows, which includes two meal courses. Livestream tickets are also available.
Flight Risk and Vogue @ The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)

Pack Theater house sketch teams Flight Risk and Vogue will showcase some unforgettable sketch comedy on Sunday night. Flight Risk features John Backstrom, Kayla Caviedes, Andrew Colford, Julia Germeroth, Daria Grace, Tangila Lee, Nate Lawler, Meredith McClure, Jacob Nakshian, Lilian Tanner, John Potter, and Devyn Ward. Vogue features Shea Depmore, Max Gieser, Joe Hirte, Emily Mae Kemp, Richard Lee, Sarah Lento, Jordy Martin, Matt Newcomb, Jessie Linn Obana, Victor Olivas, Clark Pavlik, and Eden Rousso.
Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
