Tuesday, January 27
Riffs and Rose @ The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)

Riffs and Rose is a monthly variety show featuring a mix of booked acts and spontaneous performances. If you're looking to jump on the bill, simply drop your name in the hat for a chance to be picked that night. While the show is free, donations are appreciated.
Glaive @ Fonda Theatre (6126 Hollywood Blvd.)

Alternative pop artist glaive will headline The Fonda Theatre on Tuesday in support of their new studio album Y'all. Welsh hyperpop artist Kurtains, who is featured on glaive's new album, will be the opening act.

New Joke City @ Astronaut City (1037 S. Baldwin Ave.)

Hosted by Chris Miller, New Joke City is a show where comedians are forced to discard any pre-written material and improvise their set based on audience suggestions. The lineup for Wednesday's show features Teresa Lo, Tiffany Corrada, Jessica Singer, Scott Richards, Amie Lieberman, Luke Sabis, Adron Duell, Harpreet Mahli, and Matt Harrington.
Friday, January 30
New Rockstars @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Ave.)

New Rockstars will take over UBC Theatre this Friday for a staged reading of the leaked Avengers: Kang Dynasty script. A slew of special guests will join them for this special show. Livestream tickets are also available.
Jane vs Zombies @ Outside In Theatre (5319 York Blvd.)

Jane vs Zombies combines the romantic vibes of Jane Austen novels with the horror and violence in zombie films. The cast for this unique hybrid features Monica Alquetz, Christina Anthony, Susan Deming, Alison Inconstanti, Qalil Ismail, Emily Kugel, Lena Lamer, Rachel McDowell, Scott Palmason, and Nikki Zapanta.
Karaoke Time Machines Presents: Emo Karaoke @ Moroccan Lounge (901 1st St.)

Karaoke Time Machines will bring their beloved emo karaoke to Moroccan Lounge this Friday. When doors open, attendees will be able to sign up for a chance to perform their favorite song on stage with the band.

Hosted by Alex Cave, That Astrology Show is bringing a slew of Capricorn comedians for its monthly show at Tao Comedy Studio. Saturday's lineup includes L Faunt, Tiffany Phillips, Sayaka Miyatani, Paula Jane Newman, Paul DeCuir, Anna Mae Gordon, Mort Burke, Remi Escobar, and Roxxy Haze.
Comedian Clash @ The Elysian (1944 Riverside Dr.)

Hosted by Jacquis Neal, Comedian Clash will bring together two teams of funny people to compete in a game show. Six random audience members will have the chance to join the action alongside the competitors. This Saturday will see Caitlin Reilly and Catherine McCafferty go up against Smosh's Amanda Lehan Canto and Chanse McCrary. There will also be stand-up comedy from Natasha Collier. Mosh For Youth Vol 8 @ Regent Theater (448 S Main St.)

Mosh For Youth Vol 8 will take over the Regent Theater to raise scholarship money for kids in the Los Angeles area. The event, which will be in the main room and the Lovesong Bar, will feature sets from acts such as Big A** Truck, Ingrown, Lovers Guilt, and Boltcutter. Sunday, February 1
Pilot Season (3rd annual Black History Month edition) @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Ave.)

The 3rd annual Black History Month edition of Pilot Season will go down this Sunday at UCB Theatre. On Pilot Season, veteran TV writers will develop a pilot based on suggestions from the audience, and a team of improvisers has to bring the script to life with musical scoring from Branson NeJame. Cameron Johnson (Tom Swift, Found), Cynthia Adarkwa (The Pitt), Mike Gauyo (Ginny & Georgia, Insecure), and Zoe Marshall (Elsbeth, Found) will be the writers for Sunday's show. The team of improvisers includes Corin Wells, Dewayne Perkins, Geoff Ross, Jerah Milligan, Keisha Zollar, and Shakira Ja’nai Paye. All proceeds from the show will go towards the Black Boy/Black Girl Writes Mentorship Initiative. Livestream tickets will also be available.

Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
