Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some local stand-up comedy, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events going down in Los Angeles this week (February 2 through February 8).
Thursday, February 5
Ask Dave @ Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)

Comedian David Ayala will deliver a live edition of The Ask Dave Podcast at Pack Theater. Audience members will be allowed to ask for some advice from Ayala and a lineup of special guests.
Friday, February 6
Blind Date Live @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Ave.)

With Valentine's Day around the corner, Blind Date Live will help one person go through three blind dates live on the UCB Theatre stage. Comedians Monika Smith and Eli Newell will co-host this quest to find love. Livestream tickets will also be available.
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (piano and voice) @ Barnsdall Gallery Theatre (4814 Hollywood Blvd.)

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah will bring their Piano and Voice tour to Barnsdall Gallery Theatre this Friday. Fans will be able to hear beloved songs from the act in a different manner. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's last studio album was 2021's New Fragility.
Mindblower @ The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)

Hosted by Andrew Mena, Mindblower is a variety show featuring a plethora of wild characters and hijinks. Friday's show will feature special guests Dahlya Glick, Jay Pichardo, Sethward, and Maddi Fraser. The main cast for Mindblower features Christian B. Schmidt, Shaun Cruz, Dan Sonenberg, Ryder Tam, Lizzy Rudakas, Alyssa Ratto, Lucy Slavin, and Joseph Dailey.
Really Awesome Wrestling @ The Broadwater Second Stage (The H.I.T.) 6320 Santa Monica Blvd.)

Wrestling-themed sketch comedy show RAWr: Really Awesome Wrestling will take over The H.I.T. at Broadwater Second Stage for an hour of hilarity. Expect to see talent such as Mr. USA, Motley Dew, Mr. Terror, Hot Mess, Hot Responsible, The Shebrew Slammer, and Cringe.
Friday Night Comedy @ Astronaut City (1037 South Baldwin Ave.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets) 21+
Hosted by Greg Benevent, Friday Night Comedy will bring together a slew of comedians for an evening of laughter insitde Astronaut City. Comedians set to appear include Justin Lain, Nishy Acsell, Alex Malt, Yuchao Mi, Austin Kress, Kyle Chrise, Andy Van, Tony Vinh, and Hans Sardo.
Saturday, February 7
Su Crew Comedy Show @ Astronaut City (1037 South Baldwin Ave.)

Hosted by comedian Crystal Su, the Su Crew Comedy Show will deliver some laughs on a Saturday night. Comedians set to appear include Danna Kiel, Jason Bornstein, Rishi Arya, Viet Nguyen, Sharra Lou, Elyza Halpern, and Paddy.
Comedy For Smart People @ The Elysian (1944 Riverside Dr.)

Clown Boss Chad Damiani will showcase a new character at their WIP show Comedy For Smart People at The Elysian. Celebrity intellectual Krueger Dunn will deliver an hour-long set combining intelligence and comedy, which will have attendees leaving the show feeling much smarter.
She Past Away @ The Novo (800 W Olympic Blvd.)

Post-punk band She Past Away will make their way to The Novo this Saturday. The band's last studio album was 2019's Disko Anksiyete. Forever Grey and Soft Vein will be the opening acts.
The Midnight Rumble @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Ave.)

After a successful debut back in October, The Midnight Rumble will return to UCB Theatre for a late-night comedic smackdown. Matches on the bill include a Midnight Musical match between Ahsohn The DJ vs Mr. Piss, a Redaction Games in a Steel Cage match, and a rematch between PJ McCormick and Jacquis Neal.

Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
