Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some local stand-up comedy, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events going down in Los Angeles this week (February 16 through February 22).
Wednesday, February 18
I Promised The World @ 1720 (1720 E. 16th St.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (free)
Rising metalcore band I Promised The World will have a special headlining performance at 1720 with support from Balmora and Start Today, and it's free to the public. The first 250 people to enter will receive a special version of I Promised The World’s new self-titled EP on cassette.
Bbno$ @ Hollywood Palladium (6215 Sunset Blvd.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)
Bbno$'s Internet Explorer Tour will make its way to Hollywood Palladium this Wednesday. The hip hop artist will be supporting their latest self-titled album, which peaked at number five on the U.S. Top Dance Albums chart. Jungle Bobby will be the opening act.
Thursday, February 19
Lady Bits Comedy Show @ Glendale Room (127 N Artsakh Ave.)

The Lady Bits Comedy Show brings together a slew of fantastic female comics to the Glendale Room. The lineup for Thursday's show will be unveiled soon.
Rock and Roll Style presents Matchmaker Matchmaker Make Me A Match @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Ave.)

While Valentine's Day is over, monthly standup show Rock and Roll Style will still give some lucky folks a chance at love with their special Matchmaker Matchmaker Make Me A Match show. Co-hosted by Graham Byrne and Sam Bailey, the show will combine stand-up comedy with audience matchmaking games. The comics slated to appear on Thursday's show include Whitmer Thomas, Jamie Loftus, Demi Adejuyigbe, and Steve Hernandez. Livestream tickets are also available.
The Slosh @ The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)

The Slosh returns to celebrate love at The Pack Theater. Co-hosted by Rebekah Swann and Lindsay Lewis, the hilarious variety show will showcase how to handle love in a Christian way. The show will feature special guests Max Hawksford, Annika Wines, and Rachel Poster.
Friday, February 20
Tales From The Ring @ The Shared Experience (5216 Hollywood Blvd.)
Doors: 7:15 p.m. ($5 at the door)
Hosted by Alex Bueermann, Tales From The Ring offers a glimpse into the world of pro wrestling with an interview with a real-life wrestler. Following the interview, a group of improvisers will do an improv scene based on what they heard. This week's special guest is PJ McCormick from The Midnight Rumble. Improvisers will be announced soon. The show will be $5 at the door.
Para-Juku Circus @ Los Globos (3040 W Sunset Blvd.)
Doors: 9 p.m. (tickets) 21+
Echopopstars will bring the Para-Juku Circus to the West Coast at Los Globos on Friday. Attendees can expect an exciting mixture of carnival, decora, and plur with face paintings, electronic music, and popcorn.
The Blade Rave @ 1720 (1720 E. 16th St.)
Doors: 9 p.m. (tickets) 21+
A handful of tickets are left for The Blade Rave's debut in Los Angeles at 1720. Bringing the popular rave scene from Blade to life, the event will feature a blood bath on the dance floor at midnight. Attendees will be dancing to electronic music all night with a special set from Dani Thorne.
Saturday, February 21
No Cap Comedy Show @ Montana Shop (625 S. Central Ave.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)
Taking over the Montana Shop in DTLA, the No Cap Comedy Show will feature some of L.A. best comics. Hosted by Bee Gutierrez, the lineup for Saturday's show features Luie Chavez, Chelse Greaux, Mikey Barajas, 3 Plates Tommy, Gabby Vargas, and Tania Estrada. Aside from comedy, there will be food and drinks along with photo ops and tunes.
Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
