Tuesday, August 25

Mandatory Improv Show @ WGIS (1615 N. Vermont Ave.)

Weekly improv show Mandatory Improv Show will celebrate its 100th show this week, and they're bringing a slew of talent for this occasion. Trent Dozier, Sila Puhl, Sarah Claspell, and Sylvie Wang are among those slated to perform. As always, attendance is mandatory.

Thursday, August 27

Drunk Black History @ The Elysian (1944 Riverside Dr.)

Drunk Black History takes over The Elysian for some hilarious retelling of black history aided by alcohol. Hosted by Brandon Collins, Thursday's show will feature Jill Munroe (KBLA Talk 1580), Franchesca Ramsey (Acclaimed Webby winner), Sequoia Holmes (Black People Love Paramore), and Langston Kerman (Abbott Elementary). Nice Show @ The Broadwater Second Stage (6320 Santa Monica Blvd.)

Nice Show finds John Dardenne doing improv with a slew of talented friends at The Broadwater Second Stage. Special guests for Friday's show features Jamie Moyer (Bob’s Burgers, Modern Family), WGIS improv team Baby, Pack Theater improv team Chonk, and improv team Dough Dough. As always, the show will feature Linzy and the Boys, and it'll feature Dardenne doing improv with children they teach.

Saturday, August 29

The Fab Four @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Ave.)

Multi-time UCB Cagematch winners The Fab Four will host a special prime-time show at UCB Theatre. For this occasion, the team will be joined by improv group Bernie Mac and Cheese and sketch comedy group Anointed Greens. Livestream tickets are available for this show.

Sunday, August 30

Lost 80s Live @ Greek Theatre (2700 N Vermont Ave.)

Doors: 5 p.m. (tickets)

Fans of 80s music will make their way to Greek Theatre for Lost 80s Live. Hosted by Richard Blade of 1st Wave on SiriusXM, the event will be filled with a lineup of beloved artists from that era of music. Oingo Boingo Former Members, Men Without Hats, Big Country, The Vapors, Missing Persons, China Crisis, B-Movie, Icicle Works, Katrina, Dramarama, Musical Youth, and The Untouchables will bring their biggest hits to the stage.
