The Juliana Theory and Mae announce anniversary shows for 'Emotion Is Dead' and 'The Everglow'

The Juliana Theory and Mae will join forces this summer to celebrate the releases of two beloved albums.

Announced yesterday, the bands will embark on a two date trek to commemorate the 20th anniversary of The Juliana Theory’s Emotion Is Dead and the 15th anniversary of Mae’s The Everglow. This special event will only take place in New York City (Music Hall of Williamsburg on Saturday, June 13) and Los Angeles (The Roxy Theatre on Saturday, June 27). Each show will find both bands performing their respective albums in their entirety.

Tickets for these shows will go on sale to the general public this Friday (February 14) at 10 a.m. local time.

Released in 2000, Emotion Is Dead includes the song “We’re At The Top Of The World (To The Simple Two)”, which was featured in the Disney Channel film Motocrossed, Dawson’s Creek, and Smallville. This was the band’s final studio album with Tooth & Nail before signing with Epic Records. The group reunited to perform the album in full during its 10th anniversary.

The Everglow was Mae’s first album to appear in the Top 200 chart with its debut at number 51. Their last studio album was 2018’s Multisensory Aesthetic Experience.
