The five best NYC concerts for the week of March 2, 2020

Thursday, March 5

Anna Shoemaker @ Mercury Lounge

Philadelphia singer-songwriter Anna Shoemaker will perform inside the Mercury Lounge to promote their new EP Everything Is Embarrassing, which is the follow up to their 2018 release East Side. The artist turned heads with their 2017 mashup Kendrick Lamar’s "Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe" and Chance the Rapper’s "Cocoa Butter Kisses."

Silversun Pickups, The New Regime @ Brooklyn Steel

While tickets for Silversun Pickups’ Brooklyn Steel performance on Friday, March 6 are gone, there's still some left for their Thursday gig. The band are in tour plugging their latest studio album Widow's Weeds, which includes the charting single "It Doesn't Matter Why." The New Regime, who will release their new album Heart Mind Body & Soul on Friday, will also perform.

Saturday, March 7

Tchami, DLMT @ Terminal 5

Last week was a major week for French producer Tchami. They recently co-produced Lady Gaga's new single “Stupid Love," and they unveiled two tracks from their debut studio album. Tchami’s Elevation Tour comes to Terminal 5 with support from DLMT, who topped the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart with their collaboration with Mahalo and Lily Denning called "So Cold."

Sunday, March 8

1Team @ Music Hall of Williamsburg

Rising K pop group 1Team will head to Brooklyn on their first U.S. tour. Debuting last year, the act have been burning the charts with three EPs to their name so far. Their latest EP titled One was released back in November.

Sky-Pony, Lakes @ Mercury Lounge

Brooklyn indie pop outfit Sky-Pony, which includes husband-and-wife couple Lauren Worsham and Kyle Jarrow, will take over Mercury Lounge following a hiatus. In 2015, the outfit unveiled their debut studio album Beautiful Monster. The following year, they delivered the stage show The Wildness. NYC grunge pop band Lakes will open.
