New Jersey's A Video Game Con 2019 arrives this weekend
Since 2015, A Video Game Con has been bringing excitement for gamers in the New York metropolitan area. This weekend, they’re double jumping their way into year number five.
This year’s guest list is one of their biggest yet. SmokeMonster, SomecallmeJohnny, gillythekid, Bob from RetroRGB, Classic Gaming Quarterly’s Chris Alaimo, Michael "Slowbeef" Sawyer, Adam Koralik, Substandard Science, The Manly Battleships, and Dan and Pat from Console Wars will be on hand as video game guests. Cosplay guests appearing at the convention are TonixTemptress, Shannon Noelle, Hikaru Cosplay, Senpai Kim, Jalizzaa, Alison Jeffery Cosplay, and Elena Strikes.
What’s a video game convention without tournaments? Attendees can test their skills in Gears of War 5, Mortal Kombat 11, Tekken 7, Street Fighter V, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Throughout the convention, a slew of panels will also take place, including A Beginner’s Guide To Persona and Super Mario Super Panel: Red Coin District.
Tickets for A Video Game Con, which takes place on Saturday (September 7) and Sunday (September 8), can still be purchased online until 11 p.m. tonight. Door prices are $35 for Saturday, $30 for Sunday, and $45 for the weekend.
