Swiss singer-songwriter Mary Middlefield has unveiled their new single “Two Thousand One” today.
The new song, which can be heard below, was inspired by a toxic relationship and the emotional abuse that stemmed from it.
Middlefield said this about the new song:
“The process of finishing the track happened so quickly, it was recorded two weeks after it was written, but it’s definitely one of my favorites to date. I love how the song offers emotions from the head and heart which people often get during difficult moments within a relationship. It’s a fun, sad, Folk song.”
“Two Thousand One” is available on digital services right now. The song follows Middlefield’s debut single “Band-Aid.” More music from the artist will be unveiled next year.
