Sukeban to hold pro wrestling event at Anime Expo

Anime Expo will bring some in-your-face action thanks to Japanese female pro-wrestling league Sukeban.

Sukeban World Championship Fight will take place on Saturday, July 5 at the North Plaza starting at 7 p.m. A plethora of wrestlers from rival stables will compete to become the Sukeban Champion at Anime Expo. Founded back in 2023, the New York-based Sukeban has held events in Berlin, London, Los Angeles and Miami. The current Sukeban World Champion is Sareee Bomb, who won the title in London back in October. More information about Sukeban can be found here.

Tickets for the Sukeban event will go on sale to the general public next Tuesday (June 3) at noon PST here. Attendees must have a Saturday badge or a four-day badge for Anime Expo to attend this event.

Four-day and single-day badge registration for Anime Expo can be made here. Anime Expo will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 3 through July 6. Our coverage of last year’s Anime Expo, which gained a turnstile attendance of 407,000 people from 64 countries, can be seen here.
