Street Fighter 6 hits the Nintendo Switch 2
Street Fighter 6 will deliver some fighting action on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Announced at today’s Nintendo Direct, Street Fighter 6 will arrive on the forthcoming console on its launch day (June 5). The Nintendo Switch 2 version will include exclusive game modes Gyro Battle and Calorie Contest, and it’ll feature amiibo support with three new amiibo figures and 22 amiibo cards ready at launch. Crossplay will also be included for those looking to face their friends on other consoles. An announcement trailer can be seen here.
Two versions of Street Fighter 6 will be available at launch; fans can pick the standard version or the Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition with fighters and stages from Year 1 and Year 2 DLC packs. This will be the first mainline Street Fighter game to appear on a Nintendo console since Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition on the Nintendo 3DS. Launching in 2023, Street Fighter 6 has become a commercial success with nearly 4.5 million copies sold worldwide. The game won for Best Fighting Game at The Game Awards and Fighting Game of the Year at the 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards.
