Video game collectors took over the Pasadena Convention Center for the 2026 installment of SoCal Gaming Expo last weekend.
The two-day event featured a slew of vendors selling all things video games. Whether it was retro merch or rare physical games, people browsed the vendor floor to find something new to add to their collection. Special items were auctioned off at the Video Game and Collectibles Auction on the main stage.
As expected, a slew of retro arcade titles were available for folks to dive into during the convention. Near the arcade section was the Classic Tetris World Championship, which found some of the best Tetris players battling for the trophy and prize money. Michael Artiaga bka DogPlayingTetris walked away the winner and earned their third overall championship win at the yearly competition.
