SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos hits modern consoles and PC

Everyone expected some sort of big announcement at major fighting game tournament EVO this weekend, and today, one beloved title is making its return on modern consoles.
SNK revealed the return of SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos, which was originally released in 2003 as an Xbox exclusive in North America and on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox elsewhere. This re-release includes rollback netcode and online lobbies for online play, a gallery viewer, and various quality-of-life improvements.
The SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos re-release is out on Steam right now for $19.99 here. The game will make its way to the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and GOG on Monday (July 22).
SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos follows the recent reveal of Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui in Street Fighter 6’s Season 2 DLC. As expected, the internet is clamoring for a Capcom vs. SNK 3. Fortunately, both parties stated they would be interested in reviving the popular series in an interview with VGC.
Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker.
