London punk rock band Sniffany & The Nits, which includes members of Joanna Gruesome, Ex-Void, and The Tubs, have released their new single “Chicken Live” today.

An accompanying music video for the song, which can be seen below, was directed by Taylor Stewart. Vocalist Sister Sniffany said this about the new song:

"I like to exorcise and exhibit the deeply shameful parts of myself that I see as the toxic aspects of my own femininity. In 'Chicken Liver' I'm deeply jealous and competitive, desperately trying to present myself as vulnerable, served up on a platter like a chicken dinner as if helplessness is all that counts in order to make myself seem appealing, hiding the wrathful, egg-smashing fury of envy and self loathing."

“Chicken Liver,” which is on digital services right now, is the second single from the band’s forthcoming debut album The Unscratchable Itch. The 10-track album will be released on July 8 via PRAH Recordings. Pre-orders for the studio album can be made on Bandcamp.
