Slay the Spire 2 Early Access delayed to 2026

Slay The Spire 2’s Early Access will be delayed to 2026.
Revealed yesterday, the game has been delayed from its Fall 2025 release window to March 2026. The devs stated the decision to move release dates came well before Hollow Knight: Silksong’s surprising release date announcement, which forced several indie games to change dates.
In a statement, Mega Crit said this about moving the game:
After a lot of internal discussion, we've made the call to move Slay the Spire 2's Early Access launch to a secret Thursday in March 2026.
We know this isn't the news anyone wanted to hear (ourselves included, we're dying to get this into your hands!) Originally, we were shooting for late 2025, but turns out we were wrong. We need some more time.
There's no single dramatic reason. Some personal life stuff hit the team (everyone's okay!), we kept saying "wouldn't it be cool if..." one too many times, and honestly, the game just needs more polish to meet our standards.
In the September newsletter, the devs showcased a slew of new additions, including alternative acts and more Spire species. The newsletter can be found here. The first Slay The Spire title is currently on sale for 66% off on Steam right now here.
