Serj Tankian will unveil their new solo album this fall.
Announced today, Covers, Collaborations & Collages will be released on October 24 via Serjical Strike Records/Create Music Group. The 10-track album features covers and collaborations with Deadmau5, Bic Runga, and Lucas Vidal. The first single from the album titled “Electric Dreams” is out now here. Each week, Tankian will deliver a new song from the release with an accompanying video giving a behind-the-scenes look at creating the track. An introduction video can be seen here.
Tankian said this about the forthcoming release:
“Similar to Foundations, these are pre-existing archival recordings, some of them from way back. I wanted to put out a record of collaborations I haven’t released before, along with covers, which I haven’t done. The rest, the collages, are parts that fit the puzzle in the same tone, the same vibe.”
