Rare Jimmy Scott album 'Doesn’t Love Mean More?' gets proper release in July

A rare album in Jimmy Scott’s catalog will become officially available for fans worldwide.

Revealed yesterday, Doesn’t Love Mean More? will be released on July 17 from Modern Harmonic. Originally released in 1990, the nine-track album was only sold at Scott’s live performances. This remastered version will feature rare photos and new liner notes.

Scott wasn’t a stranger to having hard-to-find albums. Scott’s 1962 album Falling in Love is Wonderful was pulled from stores immediately after its release following a record label dispute; the album would be released in 2002. Scott suffered another album dilemma with 1970’s The Source, which was also pulled due to a record label incident. The Source would get released in 2001.

Pre-orders for Doesn’t Love Mean More? can be made here.
