Quinquis unveils new single "Run"
Émilie Tiersen a.k.a. Quinquis has dropped another song from their forthcoming debut album Seim.
Their new single “Run” features guest vocals from Ólavur Jákupsson singing in Faroese. An accompanying music video, which can be viewed below, was directed by Edgar Imbault. The visual was filmed on the island of Ushant. Tiersen said this about the new song:
“At some point you need to choose between life and death. Either you let death win, or you make a change that will lead you to life. ‘Run’ is about that precise moment when you wake up and open your eyes to a new perspective. Whether you feel it through the soft touch of fresh air on your cheek, or through an inner avalanche. Whether it’s dawn or dusk. You’re at a turning point.”
Seim will be released on May 20 via Mute Records. Pre-orders for the album can be made here. “Run” is available on digital services right now.
Quinquis will be touring alongside Algiers and Yann Tiersen in support of the album. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now.
