Planning For Burial will deliver their first studio album in eight years this May.

Announced today, It’s Closeness, It’s Easy is slated for a May 30 release on The Flenser. This will be the follow-up to Planning For Burial’s 2017 studio album Below the House. The first single from the record titled “A Flowing Field of Green” can be heard here. Thom Wasluck said this about the single:

"When I first wrote it I was thinking about how often on tour or when visiting other cities I’d want to move there, away from everything I know. But I’ve been to a lot of places and lived in a few too and realized everywhere will suck if you let it. You gotta be the change you wanna see, you gotta make the things you want to happen become a reality no matter where you’re at."

Pre-orders for It’s Closeness, It’s Easy can be made here. Planning For Burial will be touring in support of the record with special guests Stander, Drowse, Mamaleek, and Malevich on select dates. Tour dates can be seen below.
