Photos: Anime fans headed to Los Angeles' AniMarketplace for Fall 2022 installment
Yesterday, Los Angeles nonprofit organization AniMarketplace held its fall 2022 installment at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center in Little Tokyo.
The six-hour pop-up event drew a slew of anime fans to the venue to check out some great local artists and vendors. On the main stage, attendees were greeted to a slew of live performances from acts such as performance group Aquarius, flutist flautistacacia, and 2-D idol cover unit Edelweiss. In between performances, the cosplay contest brought together some creative people to showcase their cosplay.
AniMarketplace formed back in 2019 with the goal of celebrating anime with likeminded people in the area. While the pandemic slowed things down, the organization still managed to support local talent through their Virtual Market Day livestreams on Twitch. With a handful of live events under their belt now, AniMarketplace will be looking forward to continuing their mission of bringing exciting pop-up events to Little Tokyo.
