My Hero Academia's final season debuts next fall
The final season for beloved anime series My Hero Academia will take place next year.
Announced at Jump Fiesta, the last season will kick off next fall. The staff from season seven will return to work on the show one last time. Debuting in 2016, the My Hero Academia anime series has earned a plethora of awards, including 15 wins at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Previous episodes of My Hero Academia as well as films and specials can be streamed on Crunchyroll right now here.
A synopsis for My Hero Academia reads:
Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.
While the My Hero Academia anime comes to an end next year, the franchise will grow with a forthcoming live-action film adaptation directed by Shinsuke Sato (Alice in Borderland, the Kingdom film series).
