British prog-metal band Monuments unveiled their new single “Cardinal Red” yesterday.

The song arrives with a music video directed by Sitcom Soldiers, who are best known for their work with Sleeping With Sirens, Johnny Marr, and One OK Rock. Monuments said this about the new cut/visual:

“The story outlined in this video, is without question, a metaphorical concept. The true meaning of ‘Cardinal Red’ can be found cryptically within the lyrics.”

“Cardinal Red” comes from Monuments forthcoming studio album In Stasis, which comes out on April 15 via Century Media. The 10-track album includes guest appearances from Periphery’s Spencer Sotelo, former Monuments vocalist Neema Askari, and Doom/Killer Instinct producer Mick Gordon, who also co-produced the album.

Pre-orders for In Stasis can be made here. This is the follow-up to the band’s 2018 studio album Phronesis.
