Megan Wyler announces new album 'Upside Now,' releases title track
Singer-songwriter Megan Wyler returns with their first album in nine years this summer.
Announced today, the California native will unveil Upside Now on July 9. The 10-track album is the follow-up to the artist’s 2013 debut album Through The Noise. For this release, Wyler reunited with Through The Noise producer Adem Ilhan with writing and recording sessions being split between Los Angeles and London. To celebrate the announcement, Wyler has unveiled the title track, which is available on digital services right now. The music video, which can be seen below, was directed by Goldmond Fong (Katy Perry, Maggie Rogers), and it features dancer Indiana Woodward.
The artist said this about their forthcoming album:
“This collection of songs is a cycle of seeking and finding - often with an unexpected outcome, but catharsis nonetheless. I am expanding/digging, coming to terms with untimely death, experiencing deepest love, emerging from heartbreak, lighting the fire of resistance, celebrating female solidarity, passion, fury, the cosmos. Lighthearted stuff like that."
