Mabel releases “Take It Home” from 'Pokemon 25: The Album'
Mabel is the next person to unveil music from the forthcoming Pokémon 25: The Album compilation.
Unveiled today, the single “Take It Home” was co-produced by Tommy Brown (Kanye West, Ariana Grande) and Mr. Franks (Ariana Grande, Blackpink). The music video for the cut, which can be seen below, was directed by Sophia Ray (Ella Eyre, Little Mix, Amber Mark).
Mabel said this about being part of the compilation:
“I’ve been a fan of Pokémon for years, so I jumped at the opportunity to join the P25 program. I had so much fun working with Pikachu and my all-time favorite Pokémon, Jigglypuff, for the “Take It Home” video. I hope the fans love the song as much as I loved working on it to celebrate 25 years of Pokémon!”
In 2019, Mabel released their debut album High Expectations, which became the biggest-selling debut by a British woman that year. The following year, Mabel won the Brit Award for British Female Solo Artist. The artist will unveil their sophomore studio album soon.
Colin Palmer, vice president of marketing, The Pokémon Company International said this about Mabel’s involvement:
“Mabel’s incredible talent and pop sensibilities add a massive layer of fun to Pokémon’s P25 Music campaign, celebrating 25 years of Pokémon. Music fans are going to love ‘Take it Home’ and Pokémon fans will be delighted to see a Jigglypuff, known for being a bubbly Pokémon who also loves to sing, featured in Mabel’s vibrant video. It’s a pitch-perfect collaborative match for our 25th-anniversary celebration.”
Mabel joins Post Malone, Katy Perry, and J Balvin as part of the Pokemon 25: The Album compilation, which will drop in the future. The album can be pre-saved here.
