Lyn Lapid releases “poster boy” music video, announces 2023 spring North American tour

Canadian pop artist Lyn Lapid dropped the music video for their new single “poster boy” on Wednesday.

The music video, which can be seen below, was directed by Carolyn Knapp. Lapid said this about working on the video:

“The ‘poster boy’ music video was by far my most favorite video I’ve put out. Everyone from the crew to the extras were all so lovely to work with, and it felt like one big hang between friends. One thing that was funny was the solo dancing scene with Hanbit (the ‘poster boy’) at the very end was the very first scene we had to do together, along with our (almost) kiss at the very end. Truly a one of a kind icebreaker for me. Thankfully Hanbit was super down to earth, which helped me with my attempt at acting in the video. I’m so proud of everyone who made the video possible, especially the director, Caro Knapp, who was especially lovely to work with.”

Lapid also announced their spring 2023 headlining tour across North America, which kicks off on May 31 inside San Diego’s House of Blues (Voodoo Room). Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets will go on sale to the general public today (April 21) at 10 a.m. local time here.

“poster boy” comes from Lapid’s forthcoming EP titled to love in the 21st century, which will be released this summer via Mercury Records/Republic Records.
