Philadelphia rock artist Adam Weiner bka Low Cut Connie has delivered their new protest song "Livin in the USA” today.
The song comes months after Weiner cancelled his performance at The Kennedy Center. An accompanying lyric video for the track, which can be seen here, was directed by Bob Sweeney.
Weiner said this about the new song:
"I’ve been traveling across this country for many years, and I've never seen so many people terrified of the future. People are looking at each other sideways, not knowing who is good, who is bad, and who might jump out of the shadows. It reminds me of the feeling of being a child on Halloween - the seasons are changing, it's getting darker, and you don't know who is lurking. I wanted to capture these feelings of sadness and disorientation in ‘Livin in the USA.’"
Low Cut Connie has also revealed a string of new tour dates through October. The artist will perform in cities such as Los Angeles, Dallas, Asbury Park, and Kansas City. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now here.
