London synth-punk group Es release new single "Hidden Track"

London four-piece synth-punk group Es have unveiled their new single “Hidden Track” today. The song is the final track from their forthcoming debut album Less of Everything. "Hidden Track' is a song that took a long time to complete,” vocalist Maria Cecilia Tedemalm said in a statement. "The music was entirely realised at least a year before the lyrics were written. Lyrically the chorus is a direct nod to the classic Germs song "What We Do Is Secret"; however thematically 'Hidden Track' explores the inner workings of relational drama. A constant push pull to fully understand and learn about the other person without surrendering yourself in the process." Last month, the band unveiled the first single (and opening track) from the record titled “Chemical.”
Less of Everything is available for pre-order here. The nine-track release will drop on April 3 via Upset The Rhythm. The band recorded the album with Lindsay Alexander Corstorphine, who is best known for their work in Sauna Youth. On April 4, the band will hold a special in-store performance inside London’s Flashback Records, which will be free to the public.
