Lily Konigsberg announces solo debut album 'Lily We Need To Talk Now,' releases new single "That's The Way I Like It"

Lily Konigsberg will drop their debut album this fall.

Revealed today, the singer-songwriter will release Lily We Need To Talk Now on October 29 via Wharf Cat Records. The 11-track album was produced by Nate Amos, who is best known for their work in the band Water From Your Eyes. The album’s title stemmed from a text conversation between Amos and Konigsberg.

The first single from the album titled "That's The Way I Like It" can be heard below. Konigsberg said this about the new cut:

"I said 'I’m going to write a song now' to my friend and then wrote this song in 20 minutes. The chords are symmetrical so it’s really fun to play on guitar. It's a fucking catchy and sassy song about getting what I want when I deserve it. Not whatever I want. Just when I deserve it."

Pre-orders for Lily We Need To Talk Now are live right now. Back in May, the artist unveiled the compilation The Best of Lily Konigsberg Right Now, which includes previously released material and then-unreleased tracks.
