LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight gets May 2026 release

An official release date for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has been unveiled at The Game Awards tonight.

The forthcoming title is slated for a May 29 release on the PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store). The Nintendo Switch 2 port will be released at a later date. A new trailer, which was unveiled during the awards ceremony, showcases classic Batman villains such as Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Firefly, and Mr. Freeze as well as Batman’s allies Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Catwoman. Pre-orders for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight are live right now here. The deluxe edition will offer 72-hour early access as well as DLC packs (Legacy Collection and Mayhem Collection). Legacy Collection will be available at launch while the Mayhem Collection will drop in September 2026. All pre-orders will gain The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit at launch. A Golden Age Batsuit will also be available for those who have a Warner Bros. Games account; sign-ups can be made here.

Four LEGO DC Batman sets are also available to pre-order right now here with an expected shipping date of March 1. Fans can grab the LEGO® DC Batman™: Batman Logo, LEGO® DC Batman™: The Batman™ Batmobile™, LEGO® DC Batman™ Batman v Superman™ Batmobile™, and LEGO® DC Batman: Batman & Robin™ Batmobile™. The Batman Logo will unlock an exclusive gold Batsuit in-game. The other three sets will unlock a special playable version of the respective vehicle as well as a gold variant in-game.
