Jian "Uzi" Zihao to be inducted into League of Legends' Hall of Legends

A second inductee into the Hall of Legends has been announced.

Announced yesterday, Jian "Uzi" Zihao has made their way into League of Legends’ special hall of fame. The LoL player is seen as one of the best bot lane players of all time. In his 11-year career as a pro LoL player, Uzi had back-to-back appearances at the World Championship Finals in 2013 and 2014 and became an Asian Games gold medal winner with the Chinese national team in 2018. Uzi retired as a competitive player in 2023.

On June 6, Uzi will be honored at the official Hall of Legends Induction Ceremony in Shanghai, China. The decorated player will also gain a custom art piece and Mercedes-Benz G-Class with EQ Technology from Mercedes-Benz. On June 11, a documentary about Uzi’s career will drop on League of Legends’ official YouTube channel. A trailer can be seen here.

Chris Greeley, Global Head of LoL Esports said this about the induction:

“Uzi’s legacy goes beyond his titles and achievements; he changed the way we view the bot lane role and left a permanent mark on League of Legends Esports. His passion and determination have inspired millions, and once we saw the voting breakdown from the global votes, it was clear that Uzi had left his mark on LoL Esports. We are honored to induct him in the Hall of Legends.”

Starting on June 11, players will be able to earn cosmetic items based on Uzi’s career during the Hall of Legends in-game event. More information about the event will be released soon.
