Japanese metalcore band KRUELTY will unveil their sophomore album in March.

Announced yesterday, Untopia will be released on March 17 via Profound Lore Records. The seven-track record was produced by Taylor Young at The Pit Studios (Nails, Xibalba, Section H8) with mastering done by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Obituary, Terminal Nation, Mindforce).

The first single from the album titled “Burn The System” can be heard below. Guitarist Zuma said this about the new song:

“Musically, I put massive Swedish death vibes on it, as I don’t think we had any of those songs before, but it’s still KRUELTY for sure. I wrote the lyrics on this song too, and the theme is how working-class people like us live every day. So basically, we chose this song for the first single to reveal how we improved from the last album. Hope you guys will enjoy some new KRUELTY. Thank you!”

Pre-orders for Untopia, which follows the band’s 2020 debut album A Dying Truth, can be made here.

The band will spend February touring throughout New Zealand and Australia. Tour dates can be seen below.
