Happy Place release music video for "Having, Climbing"

NYC experimental rock group Happy Place have unveiled the music video for “Having, Climbing” today.
Filmed in quarantine, the visual finds drummer Will Mason having some fun with their drumkit. In a statement, Mason said:
"The song 'having, climbing' is repetitive and trance-like and so I wanted to make a video that reflected this. Making a video during quarantine is pretty tough so we also needed an idea that just my partner Erin + I could make together. The objects and colors are meant to toggle between being beautiful and ugly: glitter, gloopy paint, colorful paint, and finally a huge viscous black glob.”
“Having, Climbing” comes from Happy Place’s forthcoming studio album Tendrils, which will be released this Friday (October 9) on Exit Stencil Recordings. Pre-orders can be made here. The nine-track album was recorded at Degraw Sound and Tiny Panther Recording in Brooklyn, New York and mixed by Seth Manchester (Battles, Lingua Ignota, The Body) at Machines With Magnets in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker.
