Halloween is leaving Dead By Daylight

Dead By Daylight is losing a major licensed franchise.
Revealed yesterday, Halloween will be exiting the game on January 19 at 11 a.m. EST/8 a.m. PST. Michael Myers and Laurie Strode will be available for purchase for 50% off until they’re officially removed from the game. Unfortunately, the Haddonfield Map will also exit the game. A detailed FAQ can be found here.
A statement from Dead by Daylight reads:
Dead by Daylight: Halloween, featuring Michael Myers, Laurie Strode, and Haddonfield, is leaving The Fog.
Halloween came to Dead by Daylight in October 2016, marking the first legendary horror film to be added to the game as a license. Its arrival was a historic turning point, the first stone in an avalanche of cinematic horror icons.
Yet even the most incredible Halloween night must come to an end. Dead by Daylight is a live service game, and there’s always the possibility that unexpected changes may occur. On January 19th, 2026, 11 AM ET, The Halloween Chapter and all associated content will no longer be available to unlock in Dead by Daylight.
For those who already own The Shape, Laurie Strode, and/or any of their Cosmetics, your content will remain accessible to you. If you’re interested in unlocking any Halloween characters or Cosmetics, we’ll be holding a Last Chance 50% off sale until it departs The Fog for good.
If you’re reading this and do not own the characters, please note that The Shape and Laurie Strode’s Perks will undergo name changes. They will be added to the General Perk pool and available in the Bloodweb for everyone. Associated Charms and Achievements will be updated to reflect these changes.
The Shape’s Perks
Save The Best For Last -> Keep Them Waiting
Play With Your Food -> See How They Run
Dying Light -> Cull The Weak
Laurie Strode’s Perks
Sole Survivor -> Down To The Last
Object of Obsession -> Bound by Obsession
Decisive Strike – Will To Live
If you already own the characters, Perk names and descriptions will remain unchanged, as well the Perk-related Charms.
This departure comes months after Hellraiser was removed from Dead by Daylight. Previously removed franchises Stranger Things and Attack on Titan both made their return to the game, so fans are hoping the same can happen here.
