Goldfinger, Save Ferris, and Unwritten Law to bring nostalgia to Los Angeles this Friday
This Friday (July 19), ska punk and pop punk will take over The Wiltern in Los Angeles for one nostalgia-heavy show.
Headlining the event are Los Angeles’ own pop punk act Goldfinger, who have been touring the world since 1994. The band’s music have been featured in a slew of soundtracks, including Not Another Teen Movie, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, and BASEketball. This Friday, the band will unveil their cover of “I Had Some Help” with Less Than Jake. Goldfinger’s last studio album was 2020’s Never Look Back, which featured the return of original guitarist Charlie Paulson.
Goldfinger will bring some like-minded groups to join them for their special hometown headlining show. Ska punk band Save Ferris, who toured with Goldfinger in the past, are best known for their cover of Dexys Midnight Runners’ hit single “Come On Eileen.” The band unveiled their new single “Lights Out In The Reptile House” today, which is their first piece of music since their 2017 comeback EP Checkered Past. Unwritten Law, who gained a handful of radio hits such as "Seein' Red" and "Cailin,” will also take the stage. The band’s last studio album was 2022’s The Hum, which was their first studio album in 11 years. Opening the show are rising punk band Urethane, which features beloved skateboarder Steve Caballero. The band’s debut album Chasing Horizons was released in 2021. This fall, they’ll perform at Chicago’s Riot Fest.
