Gears of War: E-Day to hold special event in Los Angeles

Gears of War fans in Los Angeles will be able to celebrate the forthcoming Gears of War: E-Day title next Wednesday (September 30).
Announced yesterday, a Gears of War: E-Day celebration will go down at Hollywood & Vine, and fans will be able to play the game before its official Early Access launch. The event, which runs from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., will also feature themed food and drinks, exclusive giveaways, and more. Arrive wearing Gears of War cosplay for a chance to win an XBOX Design Lab Gears of War: E-Day-inspired controller designed by illustrator and long-time collaborator Luke Preece along with other prizes.
The event will be capped at 500 guests, so line up early. The line queue will begin at noon; folks wearing Gears of War merch will get access to a faster line.
Gears of War: E-Day will be released on October 6 via Xbox and PC with a day-one release on Game Pass. Pre-orders for the game, which is a prequel to the original Gears of War game, can be made here. A synopsis of the game reads:
