Echo Park Rising will bring a plethora of free concerts in Echo Park this Saturday

Echo Park Rising returns tomorrow (August 17) for a day of free entertainment in Echo Park.

The one-day event, which launched back in 2011, is a celebration of local businesses and musicians in the region. When it comes to live music, there’s plenty of acts showcasing their talents at various venues. The Semi Tropic will host performances inside and outside with acts such as Molly Horses, Dream Phases, and Roy Lacroix. The Echo and The Echoplex will also have two separate lineups of shows with acts such as Outwest, Object of Affection, and Miya Folick performing throughout the day. Other venues slated to have live performances include Little Joy Cocktails, The Short Stop, and Bar Flores.

Aside from live entertainment, several stores will have special sales throughout the day. The entire schedule, including deals, can be seen here. While Echo Park Rising is an all-ages event, some areas are 21+.

Previous installments of Echo Park Rising saw performances from Charles Bradley, Rosie Tucker, and Chicano Batman. More information about Echo Park Rising can be found here.
