CrowJane releases new single “Destroy," EP release this Sunday at Moroccan Lounge
Los Angeles darkwave/post-punk artist CrowJane has unveiled their new single “Destroy” today.
“Destroy” stems from CrowJane’s new EP Bound to Me, which is also released today via Kitten Robot Records. The five-song release was produced by Paul Roessler (The Screamers, Nina Hagen, 45 Grave).
CrowJane said this about working on the new song:
“I went to Paul and told him that I wanted to write a song that is dancier than my past releases with a synth pulse, which is one of my favorite things about the band Suicide, with a Siouxsie Sioux vocal style.”
An accompanying music video for the song, which can be seen below, features footage filmed by the artist alongside Rubycon Records footage shot by Meriel O’ Connell. CrowJane said this about the music video’s concept:
“I wanted to make a music video that was as fun to make as the song was. I went around with a camcorder to different shows in LA and recorded the crowd plus the musicians. This music video is kind of a love letter to the LA underground post-punk/Synthwave/Darkwave/punk/goth scene.”
This Sunday (November 19), CrowJane will have an EP release show at The Moroccan Lounge (901 E. 1st Street). Dildox and More Ephemerol will be the opening acts. Tickets for the show are on sale to the general public right now here.
