Composer Lorne Balfe returning for The Game Awards 2020

The 2020 installment of The Game Awards will have composer Lorne Balfe returning to the stage.
Announced yesterday, Balfe will be conducting the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) from London’s famous Abbey Road Studios. When discussing The Game Awards, Balfe said:
“Being a part of The Game Awards is truly a wonderful experience ,and I’m thrilled to again be celebrating the incredible games of 2020. There is nothing quite like music in video games and with the phenomenal talents from the London Philharmonic Orchestra, I look forward to bringing the scores from this year’s ground-breaking titles to viewers around the world from the legendary Abbey Road Studios.”
As a member of Remote Control Productions, Inc., Balfe got their start composing for video games with 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This found the re-uniting with Hans Zimmer, who worked with Balfe in The Da Vinci Code and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Along with Zimmer, Balfe recently composed the score for FIFA 19.
The Game Awards will be held on December 10 via various digital platforms. The virtual award ceremony will take place in Los Angeles with segments in Tokyo and London.
Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
