Castle of Heart: RETOLD gets physical release on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5
Action-platformer Castle of Heart: RETOLD is getting the physical treatment next year.
Announced today, physical copies of the game will be released on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 courtesy of Funbox Media Ltd on February 20. Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch version can be made here while pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 version can be found here.
A synopsis for Castle of Heart: RETOLD reads:
Embark on a challenging quest to defeat the evil sorcerer as a cursed warrior in this dark-fantasy action platformer inspired by the Slavic mythology. Vanquish blood-thirsty creatures, overcome lethal traps, and master demanding action sequences, before the curse turns your stone body into dust.
Stand against the Sorcerer, a servant of the evil god Chernobog, to free the last priestess of goddess Mokosh and liberate the land from the Sorcerer’s tyrannical rule. As a Slavic warrior named Svaran, you must overcome not only magical creatures and lethal contraptions, but also a terrible curse that has turned your body to stone. You need to keep up your killing spree, otherwise your body will start to disintegrate, eventually losing limbs and the ability to wield weapons!
Travel across four distinct Slavic landscapes and prove your worth against the Sorcerer’s minions and blood-thirsty mythological creatures, such as chorts, ghouls, and vodniks. Master your swordsmanship and tip the chances in your favour with dozens of melee and ranged weapons: from torches and hatchets to javelins and crossbows. Put your skills and reflexes to the ultimate challenge in demanding boss battles against powerful and intimidating foes.
