Netflix and Nippon TV are joining forces to bring some popular anime series to homes worldwide.

Announced yesterday, 13 titles will be available on the streaming platform in numerous countries. On September 1, Hunter x Hunter (first 38 episodes in 104 countries), Ouran High School Host Club (190 countries), and Claymore (136 countries) will be available. Other anime titles, including From Me to You and Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting!, will arrive on Netflix soon. The full list of anime titles hitting up the service can be seen below.

For many years, anime has been a driving force at Nippon TV where we have been producing hit anime titles such as HUNTER X HUNTER, DEATH NOTE, and many more. With anime continuing to surge in popularity around the world, the timing could not be better for this exciting partnership with Netflix. I have no doubt anime fans will be talking about these titles the world over.”

Netflix previously signed deals with Nippon TV to stream the entertainment show Old Enough! in 190 countries and to stream Nippon TV’s biggest drama and entertainment shows, including I'm Mita, Your Housekeeper and Mr.Hiiragi's Homeroom, throughout Asia.

Over the years, Netflix has been winning over the anime community with original series such as Aggretsuko, B – The Beginning, and Eden. The streaming service is currently working on anime series based on Devil May Cry, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, and Scott Pilgrim.
