beaming join forces with Field Medic for new single "slow sinkin"
Los Angeles indie rock band beaming have unveiled their new single “slow sinkin” today.
The song features San Francisco indie folk artist Field Medic, who worked with beaming’s Derek Ted on numerous releases in the past. An accompanying music video for the single, which was directed by Olivia Alonso Gough, can be seen here.
beaming said this about the new single:
"slow sinkin came from us combining two different ideas we’d been working on separately. Lyrically, it’s about looking back on the past and how easy it is to get caught up in your own BS. It’s our most acoustic track on the EP, and we wanted it to feel more natural and organic. We also got our buddy Field Medic to sing the third verse."
Field Medic also stated:
"When Derek started showing me the songs beaming was working on, the first thing I said was that I would love to be involved somehow. It just so happened that "slow sinkin" needed a second verse, so I went to the studio with them a week or so later and cut my verse. I love all the songs on this EP and I'm glad to be a small part of it.”
“slow sinking” comes from beaming’s self-titled debut EP, which will arrive on June 13 via Rose Garden. Pre-saves for the EP can be made here.
