Anime Expo 2024: Five great after-parties going down
One thing that gets asked around the halls of Anime Expo is "Where's the party at?" After the convention, many people are looking to hang out with their fellow anime fans. Fortunately, a plethora of after-parties have been set up around Los Angeles so folks can dance the night away. We look at five after-parties worth attending during Anime Expo this weekend.
Thursday, July 4
Hello Angel Girl's Cosplay Night Rave @ undisclosed location
Doors: 9 p.m. (tickets) 21+
Hello Angel Girl will have a massive after-party at their special Content Creation Dreamhouse. Aside from DJ sets from unit333, chaod3r, and dragonsandfaeries777, there will also be a cosplay contest with cash prizes for three lucky winners. The first 100 people in line will receive an unreleased Hello Angel Girl product.
Friday, July 5
Anibash @ Regent Theater (448 S Main St.)
Doors: 8 p.m. (tickets) 18+
Anibash is bringing a slew of DJs together for some big B2B sets at Regent Theater. Some sets being featured that night include Hyper Potions B2B KINO and DJ WILDPARTY B2B D-YAMA. VIP ticket holders will have a meet and greet with the artists at the pre-show mixer, a VIP gift, a signed poster, and a drink ticket.
Saturday, July 6
One Piece Music Symphony @ Shrine Auditorium (665 West Jefferson Blvd.)

The One Piece Music Symphony World Tour will make its way to Los Angeles to coincide with the popular convention. For the Los Angeles show, composer Kohei Tanaka and singer Hiroshi Kitadani will perform with the orchestra. On July 5, One Piece fans will be able to catch an early screening of the Egghead Arc English dub (episodes 1090 and 1091) at the convention.
Sunday, July 7
Lisa Wallen and Friends @ Petty Cash Studios (8949 Sunset Boulevard #Suite 203)
Doors: 7:15 p.m. (tickets)
Comedian Lisa Wallen will headline Petty Cash Studios with a weeb-filled set. Josh Waldron, Noah Copfer, and Kelly Mcinerney will also perform.
DIESUKI @ Avalon Hollywood (1735 N Vine.)
Doors: 9 p.m. (tickets) 21+
DIESUKI is back with another anime/dubstep event at Avalon Hollywood. This week's event will feature a co-headlining set from Snails and Dirtyphonics as well as sets from Bandlez and Teddyloid. VIP ticket holders will gain early entry to the show (8:30 p.m.) as well as exclusive entry into Bardot, which will feature additional DJ performances.
