Following the conclusion of its first season, Chainsaw Man will be taking over an interesting medium in 2023.

Announced yesterday, the popular anime series will turn into a stage production. Chainsaw Man The Stage is slated to make its way to theaters in Tokyo and Kyoto in fall 2023.

The production will be directed and written by Fumiya Matsuzaki, who previously worked on stage productions based on Mobile Suit Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Hakai ni Yoru Kakusei Re:(in)novation) and A3! (MANKAI STAGE A3!). More information about the Chainsaw Man production will be revealed soon. An official website can be found here.

The first season of Chainsaw Man is available to stream on Crunchyroll right now. A synopsis for the show reads:

Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.

One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as "Chainsaw Man" — a man with a devil's heart.
