Los Angeles singer/songwriter zzzahara has delivered another track from their forthcoming studio album Spiral Your Way Out today.
“If I Had To Go I Would Leave the Door Closed Half Way” comes with an official music video directed by Gustavo Saldana, which can be seen here. The artist said this about the track:
“I was spitting. The guitar chords and the bass playing really meshed together. I already had the lyrical content just built up inside of me. I was in love with the melody and we cleared it out real quick. I let it spit fire.”
Spiral Your Way Out is slated for a January 10 release on Lex Records. Pre-orders for the album can be made here. The 10-track release finds zzzahara working with a handful of producers such as Jorge Elbrecht (Japanese Breakfast, No Joy, Sky Ferreira), Sarah Tudzin (boygenius, Cloud Nothings, The Armed), former Ducktails guitarist Alex Craig (Jelani Aryeh / re6ce) and Halsey tour drummer Franco Reid.
Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
