WayForward beat ’em up River City Girls arrive on September 5

The beloved River City game series gets another installment thanks to WayForward and Arc System Works.
On Wednesday, the trailer for River City Girls was unveiled. In this beat-em-up, River City mainstays Kunio and Riki get kidnapped, and it’s up to their girlfriends Kyoko and Misako to save the day this time. Along the way, you’ll run into some familiar faces from the River City series. While you’re kicking butt, you’ll be treated to a synthpop soundtrack featuring NateWantsToBattle, Megan McDuffee, Chipzel, and Christina Vee, who can be heard singing in the trailer.
River City Girls will be released digitally for $30 on September 5 on the PlayStation Store, Steam, GOG, Nintendo eShop, Xbox Live, and Humble Bundle. Those wanting a physical version will get one thanks to Limited Run Games. That version, however, will come at a later date.
