WATCH: Tom Kenny and Slipknot's Corey Taylor perform SpongeBob SquarePants theme song
Attendees at West Virginia’s Huntington Comic and Toy Convention got the performance of a lifetime on Saturday night.
Tom Kenny & The Hi-Seas, which features SpongeBob SquarePants’ Tom Kenny, performed at the convention and decided to bring out a special guest during one of their songs. Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, who was also a guest at the convention, decided to join the band for their cover of the classic SpongeBob SquarePants theme song. The amazing collaboration can be seen below.
Tom Kenny & The Hi-Seas said this about the collaboration:
“What. A. Night. West Virginia!!!! Last night ended with Corey Taylor of Slipknot coming back up on stage to holler "Arrrgh ya ready kids???" and sing Spongebob SquarePants with Tom, and it's honestly gonna be a night we never forget. For a brief moment, We. Were. SPONGEKNOT.”
Taylor is set to embark on a headlining tour across the country later this month in support of their forthcoming solo album CMF2. Tour dates and tickets can be found here.
Tom Kenny & The Hi-Seas will be performing at Campus JAX in Newport Beach, California this Saturday (August 19). Tickets are on sale to the general public here. Kenny will also appear at L.A.
