Volbeat announce new album 'Servant Of The Mind,' release new single "Shotgun Blues"
Danish hard rockers Volbeat have announced their new studio album Servant Of The Mind.
Announced today, the 13-track album will be released on December 3 via Republic Records. The first single from the album titled “Shotgun Blues” can be heard below.
Vocalist Michael Poulsen said this about the new album:
"I wrote the whole album in three months. I was in a good place and mood while at home, and had a captive audience of myself… There are a lot of Volbeat signatures in it. If you go back to the first record and compare it to where we are now, you can hear how the band has developed its style, while keeping the signature sound."
Pre-orders for Servant Of The Mind can be made here. This will be the follow-up to Volbeat’s 2019 studio album Rewind, Replay, Rebound, which peaked at number six on both Top Rock Albums and Hard Rock Albums chart. “Shotgun Blues” is available on digital services right now.
Volbeat will kick off their headlining tour tomorrow at Atlanta’s Tabernacle. The trek includes support from Twin Temple, The Hu, and Municipal Waste on select dates. Earlier this week, they announced their co-headlining tour with Ghost featuring support from Twin Temple. Tickets for that tour go on sale to the general public tomorrow (September 24) at 10 a.m. local time.
