U.K. indie rock artist Joyeria releases "Performance Review" music video
U.K. indie rock artist Joyeria has unveiled the music video for their single "Performance Review" today.
The visual, which can be seen below, was animated by the musician. When it comes to the song, Joyeria said:
"To be some over affected singer trying to show people how sad, or worse, how intelligent you are, or how much you know about anything is a fate worse than death. Most writers do this through mysticism, to hide in the cracks of their writing. I have been guilty of this myself at times and probably still am. To quote Hemingway – “there are many mysteries, but incompetence is not one of them… literature by the injection of a false epic quality”. All bad writers are in love with this. It is written as simply as I could write. I look around the room performance review creates (lyrically and sonically) and all the furniture is arranged just as it should be. But don’t be mistaken, Performance review is architecture, not interior design."
“Performance Review” stems from Joyeria’s debut EP FIM, which is out right now via Speedy Wunderground.
Joyeria will be performing a slew of shows for Independent Venue Week later this month. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now.
